Sadaf Padder


Sadaf Padder works as an advocate of arts and education access. She believes in the power of the hand to activate and heal. She had her first henna tattoos as a toddler in New York at Chaand Raats and mendhis. When she began teaching 8 years ago, henna cones became a tool of meditation. She is now a BK-based writer, painter, jewelry-maker, and manager working with non-profits and visual artists. Find her @pitterpadder.

Sadaf currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She has lived in England, New Jersey, Washington DC, Morocco, Baltimore and has been in Brooklyn for the last 5 years working as a Dean of Students at a middle school. New York is where she has found a sense of community and home. She is an emerging curator, creative networker and passionate advocate of arts education, representation and global educational equity. She works in support and partnership with non-profits Stand for Education, Brooklyn Raga Massive, The Artist Collective, Grown in Haiti, FyreZone Inc., 1718 Collective, and more.
