Tony Whitfield

Tony Whitfield is an artist, designer, educator. who writes about new media, film, performance and design. His work has been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions at venues including New York’s Museum of Art and Design, Dieu Donne Papermill and Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano in Lima,Peru, The Emily Tarrant Gallery at The Flynn Center in Burlington,VT, Salonesatellite in Milan and the William Way Center in Philadelphia. He is an Associate Professor of Art and Design Practice and Director of Social Engagement and has been Associate Dean for Civic Engagement, an Associate Professor and the former Chair of the Product Design Department at Parsons The New School for Design. He has also served as Senior Policy Analyst for Cultural Affairs in the Office of the Manhattan Borough President, as Associate Director of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Program Director at Just Above Midtown Gallery and Director of Printed Matter, Inc.
