Steve Bayliss
1962–1990
Stephen “Steve” Clyde Bayliss was born in 1962. He was raised in Gladstone, Missouri, a suburb north of Kansas City. He said that his mother, Mary Ann, carried him in one arm and a “Psychic Reader” in the other. She also massaged him in the middle of his forehead. This began his spiritual quest.
Jane Roberts, with her channeling the Seth Books, was Steve’s hero, and helped him develop his philosophy of life by age 12. He expressed that philosophy through his art, mostly art crayon drawings. He believed the artist who works with an open heart could make no mistakes in their work. He sometimes signed his work with the name Piper Lynx.
Steve worked in a number of mediums including acrylic, oil pastel, airbrush, and colored pencil. These pieces are all approximately 30″x40″ large. The pieces are much more vibrant and clear in person.
Steve died of AIDS in 1990. He died at home among friends and family, and surrounded by his art work.
