Angel Davila (B. 2000, West New York, NJ) lives and works in Harlem , NY

Angel Davila is an interdisciplinary artist that addresses the complexities and discrimination living with HIV in social spaces specifically in digital dating platforms and medical landscapes. Self taught (2018) Angel’s studio practice expands beyond many artistic disciplines including traditional animation, Digital programing , 2D and Sculptural painting. Studied illustration from New Jersey City University 2020) Angel would go on to have two solo shows “Dreaming of Magenta” , Greenhive Gallery, NJ (2021) and “Soupa De Puta” , All Street Gallery, NY. (2023). Published by Remington Review Literary Magazine as spotlighted Artists (2021-2024). “Artists To look out for” Mag 20/20 Online Magazine 2020 as a honorary featured Artist (2023). Angel currently is enrolled in the CFA program in New York Academy of Art.

Imagining life with HIV through humor and fantasy. inspire by modern animation , Historical Queer media, and coping with HIV, the visual artist highlights the stigma within those who live with the virus. Navigating through the complexities of companionship to HIV discrimination within online dating spaces and medical landscapes.
