Carlos Vanegas

Carlos Vanegas was born in Riohacha, La Guajira. He studied Social Communication and Journalism at the University of the Sabana in Bogotá, Colombia and participated in 'PCI: Contemporary procedures of image' in the Escuela Massana. He has worked in television production for the channels Nous Barris and Ciutat Vella in Barcelona, Spain. In addition, he participated in the seminar: 'Telenovela, una arquitectura de los sentimientos', directed at the International University of Andalucia in Huelva by the most prominent producers in Latin America. Since his arrival to the United States, Vanegas’work has been focused on the combination of imagery with narrative text. His works in press and photography have been printed in numerous international publications and he has most recently completed the autobiography, 'The Man of the Red Shoes.'
