Jon King is a queer, multidisciplinary artist active in the Midwest mural community since 2015. Jon holds degrees in graphic design and opera from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. His artistic practice blends visual graphic structure with emotional fluidity inspired by his upbringing in rural Western Wisconsin. The ornate beauty of Art Nouveau and precision of the Bauhaus movement heavily influences his approach to design and the visual impact of his murals. Jon’s work spans illustration, typography, and abstract subjects, marked by bold color, crisp contrast, and thoughtful experimentation.
