Michael Angarola
1948–1994
Michael Angarola was working as a statistician with a Manhattan-based market research firm but quit his job after his diagnosis and took up painting and working with pastels. Michael and his lover George Osterman were involved with the Ridiculous Theatre Company. Michael was an early AIDS activist in NYC. He was interviewed for Fighting Back: What some people are doing about AIDS by Susan Kuklin, a book about the fight against AIDS. He passed away in 1994.
