As a child, I was profoundly influenced by the beauty surrounding the dairy farm in Central Minnesota where I grew up. My art is inspired by the shape, textures, colors, and scale of nature. I stroll on a beach, one particular pebble catches my eye. I pick it up, study it, and slip it into my pocket. The meaning or message that pebble conveyed which caused me to put it into pocket is the meaning or message I would like to convey in my work.
