Spring 2025 Programs Internship

Are you interested in learning about HIV/AIDS art histories? Have you done work in harm reduction or ever had an interest in this history? If so, we encourage you to apply to our upcoming internship. Visual AIDS is seeking a paid intern to support an upcoming exhibition and additional programming.

The total stipend is $3,200 for approximately 180 hours of work, and the intern should be able to come into the Visual AIDS office in Chelsea for at least two days a week. The spring internship will begin in early April and run through mid-June.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting our spring exhibition at MoMA PS1 - this will include exhibition installation in mid-April, supporting a series of programs through April, May, and June, and assisting with related social media

    • Familiarity and interest with harm reduction histories and practices is a plus, but is not required

  • Supporting our monthly Women’s Empowerment Art Therapy Workshops

  • Assistance with our annual benefit, the Visual AIDS Vanguard Awards (VAVA)
