In honor of Queer|Art|Mentorship’s 15-year anniversary, Queer|Art is bringing together artists, scholars, and organizers for a two-day Summit on community practices and queer artistry in times of crisis. Following Alexis Pauline Gumbs' inquiry, “What are the intergenerational and evolutionary ways that we become what we practice?” the Summit, Becoming What We Practice, will seek to answer this question from different creative and methodological perspectives: mentoring, speculating, translating, archiving, adapting, collaborating, cruising, summoning, world-building.

Join Queer|Art for workshops and conversations during the day, and celebrate with us at our afterparty at night, featuring DJ sets and live performances from USHKA and the Illustrious Blacks!
