Day With(out) Art - 1997
This year for Day With(out) Art, Visual AIDS will coordinate a New York and New Jersey wide series of exhibitions and programs which draw attention to the continuing AIDS pandemic and which give critical consideration to issues concerning artists with HIV/AIDS.
Mapping No Boundaries aims to introduce the arts attending public, and particularly young people, to the health and social issues surrounding AIDS and the importance of creating art as a means of social change.
Participating venues include: Aljira - A center for Contemporary Art, Art in General, Richard Anderson Gallery, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Brooklyn Museum, The National Arts Club, Cooper-Hewitt: The National Design Museum, Debs & Co, Exit Art, Jersey City Museum, The Newark Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, Max Protetch Gallery, Wessel O'Connor Gallery.
