Hiv Women

Throughout history, art has served to spread awareness of social issues. The Puffin Cultural Forum's show, HIV+WOMEN+ART, presented the powerful artwork of four HIV+ women, illuminating the most pressing health and social issue of our time “the global pandemic of HIV/AIDS“ while taking the viewer into the interior life of a woman confronting her own illness. The Opening Reception for this new exhibit of paintings, sculptures and prints by artists Rebecca Guberman-Bloom, Nancer LeMoins, Joyce McDonald, and Becky Trotter was on Sunday, January 16th at 2:00 PM at the Puffin Cultural Forum. Visual AIDS director Amy Sadao will be the special guest speaker.
