Lightbox: A Traveling Exhibition featured two slides by Visual AIDS artist members in a set of wall-mounted lightboxes. This format allowed hundreds of artworks to be shared in a relatively small space. The exhibition traveled and was updated as new members join the archive. Lightbox was curated by Stefanie Nagorka and Sur Rodney (Sur).

In 2005, Lightbox traveled to:

  • ICAAC Conference, Washington, DC
  • Art Gallery at Houston Community College, Houston, TX
  • MSC Forsyth Center Galleries, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX

In 2006, after traveling for 5 years, the Lightbox exhibition is retired to focus on the digitalization of the Archive Project.
