LOVE POSITIVE WOMEN in Chicago.

Too often the conversation about HIV/AIDS does not include the impact it has on women or individuals who identify within the feminine spectrum – including transgender, gender non-conforming, and womyn. Beyond health statistics, increased levels of discrimination and criminalization trends have disproportionately affected women of color. This panel discussion brings women to the center of the conversation, providing a critical examination of the causes and effects the impact of HIV/AIDS has on their lives.

Moderated by Brenda Wolfe, Clinical Service Director at Planned Parenthood of Illinois, the panel includes Lesherri James of Affinity Community Services; Marissa Miller of Howard Brown Health; Jackie Boyd of The Care Plan; and Chicago Women's AIDS Project representatives. This event features a performance by Felicia Holman and Meida McNeal of Honey Pot.

Doors open @ 6PM / Program begins @ 6:30 (Late Entry Allowed)
