Play Smart Packing Party with Ted Kerr
Visual AIDS Office
This informal event, which took place at the Visual AIDS office on W26th Street featured community and conversation, which ranged from HIV, culture, art and more facilitated by writer / activist Ted Kerr. Visual AIDS staff and friends huddled around boxes of condoms, lubricant and play cards to make Play Smart packs, which featured play cards designed by Tania Anderson, Beverly Bland Boydston III, Jean Foos, Tourmaline, Kia Labeija, Alice O'Malley, Elizabeth Marie Rivera, Morgan M Page, Jamie Q, L.J. Roberts, Sue Schaffner, Sarinya Srisakul and Jessica Whitbread. The fun, sexy and creative trading cards serve to provide individuals with pleasure and useful preventative information.
Play Smart VI series premiered at the Brooklyn Museum in the exhibition Agitprop! and were exhibited December 11 - August 7, 2016. Click here for more information.

Theodore (Ted) Kerr, former Programs Manager at Visual AIDS, Ted is finishing up his MA at Union Theological Seminary where he has been researching the relationship between Christian Ethics and HIV/AIDS. He is also a member of the WHAT WOULD AN HIV DOULA DO? group.
