Honoring Yoko Ono & Tony Feher

Visual AIDS was thrilled to recognized artists Yoko Ono and Tony Feher with the Visual AIDS Vanguard Award. Both artists and AIDS activists, they were the perfect recipients for the awards due to their commitment to HIV/AIDS advocacy, education, prevention, and their support of artists with HIV/AIDS.

The VAVA was presented during Visual AIDS Spring benefit, Strike, a fun night of bowling, dancing, food, fun, and cocktails. We thank presenters Jeffrey Deitch and Joy Episalla for their touching introductions to both honorees, our Co-Chairs Anthony Meier Fine Arts, Cassie Rosenthal, Jack Shainman and Pavel Zoubok, as well as this year's Benefit Committee for their support. In addition, we would like to thank DJ Little Jukka (Nayland Blake) for keeping the party rocking, Aaron Cobbett and Bilen Mesfin for event photography, and all our volunteers.
