"The Contemplative Garden: Nature is Healing", subtitled "10 Rajas, 11 Feathers, and a Dozen White Kelleys", is directly inspired by the constructive discharge of {amdpc}'s artistic director, x, from the feath3r theory due to transphobia, tokenism and ableism in the rehearsal space. This performance is a call to action for New York Live Arts to halt its presentation of "WEDNESDAY", a "queer fantasia", slated to premiere in 2021, presented by Raja Feather Kelly and the feath3r theory.

{amdpc} has a community initiative around collective care, holistic wellness and resource distribution. We will launch our community initiative through collective care wellness packages during the run of "The Contemplative Garden" and continue to distribute packages to direct individuals served by our mission on a complimentary basis. Patrons with expendable income and wider privilege can purchase care packages on a buy two, donate one basis to be given to our most vulnerable populations.

Performances will take place every night from Friday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 4th at 6 p.m. as an outdoor, socially distant, site-specific performance at Le Petit Versailles.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
