A&U Magazine, America's AIDS Magazine, looks at the ongoing epidemic through the lens of art and understanding. This month they focus on the work of Visual AIDS artist, and volunteer, Curtis Carman, better known as Curtsy.
As a drag queen, performer, and sculptor, Curtsy's work is diverse. The article explores his expression, and finds him thinking about how he relates to his art. “My experiences as a drag queen active in gay culture and the effect of AIDS on my life influence my outlook on life, art, and the cosmos," he explains.
