Remembering Linda Malloy
Visual AIDS mourns the loss of Catherine Linda Malloy (1961–2026).
Linda was a cherished member of the Visual AIDS Women's Empowerment Art Therapy Group, where she brought her creativity, warmth, and life experience to a community of women living with HIV.
Through Visual AIDS, Linda participated in a papermaking workshop at Dieu Donné and helped create our public mural on Franklin Avenue, celebrating the lives and experiences of Black women living with HIV. A proud lesbian, she also volunteered with Iris House.
We are grateful for the time we shared with Linda and for the many ways she used her voice and creativity to connect with others.
A Memorial Gathering for Linda Malloy
All are invited to gather in Linda's memory, light candles, and share stories celebrating her life on Thursday, November 19, 2026, 6–8PM at the New York City AIDS Memorial.
