For Day With(out) Art, Visual AIDS distributed United in Anger: A History of ACT UP, a film by Jim Hubbard at over 30 locations worldwide. On December 1st in NYC, Visual AIDS hosted a conversation with the director at the Brooklyn Museum and a panel discussion with Tom Léger, Sean Strub and Michael Tikili.

UNITED IN ANGER: A HISTORY OF ACT UP is the first feature-length documentary about ACT UP (the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power), a small group of people came together to change the world and save each other’s lives. The film takes the viewer through the planning and execution of exhilarating major actions with additional information about these historic events that forced the U.S. government and mainstream media to deal with the AIDS crisis, and reveals the group’s complex culture while also exploring the profound grief, sexiness, and incredible energy of ACT UP. United in Anger: A History of ACT UP is directed by Jim Hubbard, and produced by Sarah Schulman and Jim Hubbard.
