Legacy Series Workshops: Abolish White Nationalism
Led by NYC-based Artist Member Anthony Rosado
What has acting “white” cost this nation? What has it cost you? Did you and your parents have to give up your cultural heritage to believe that you are “white?” Which side of history do you want to be on? This session is for “white” people who want to do more than neutrally be non-racist; who aim to be anti-racist. Since all people who identify as “white” benefit from systemic racism, it is the duty of “white” citizens to dismantle and abolish “white” nationalism (or “white supremacy”) in their families, neighboring communities, and USA legislation. For those of you new to the revolution, this session will provide you with the tools to ensure your activism to save Black lives is consistent and sustainable. One-on-one sessions available.
Seven "Legacy Learning" sessions ranging from housing assistance for HIV+ people to Afro-futurist visioning and Afro-Caribbean anthropology. All workshops are free for Black, Indigenous, and Trans people, donation based for LGBQIA+ and PoC, and $10.00 for people who identify as white. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Some sessions are available for one-one-one reservation.
