Anthony Rosado at Metaden
Visual AIDS Artist Member Anthony Rosado will be providing a 10-week movement course starting October 15th. This course will be every Tuesday from 2-4pm and end with a showcase of your work on December 21st as a metaLIVE performance. The exchange for this course is $120.
If you are a white ally and want to contribute to a POC taking this course, please DM us and/or Venmo or Ca$happ us at metaDEN with “Fall Into Dance” as the comment.
This is not a drop-in course, so participants are expected to attend each workshop for the sake of consistent development. Please RSVP for this course by using the BOOK button on our Website.
Somatics is the investigation of movement principles, theories, and methods. Testourmonials will facilitate open-level dance workshops geared to the specific needs and goals of participants. Movement praxes explored are composed of space, time, effort, flow, improvisation, composition, variation, and choreography. Verbal and written reflections encourage multidisciplinary self-examination. The Somatic Sessions will end with a live display of dance performances choreographed by participants.
Anthony Rosado is a Nuyorican Afro-Boricua Queer storyteller merging multidisciplinary praxes. Rosado amalgamates anthropology, art-history, literature, visual art, interactive performance, and creative workshops. As Founder of Testourmonials, Rosado utilizes curation to internationally influence investment in collecting, preserving, and glorifying stories of community-driven cultural conservation. Rosado’s life-purpose is to intersect diverse avenues of study, so we collectively structure an inclusive, ethos-centered historiographic model.
