The Studio Museum in Harlem presents "Studio Screen: Elliot Reed’s New Videos (2020–21)" with talkback featuring Jack Waters

Join The Studio Museum for the online premiere of  new videos by 2019–20 artist in residence Elliot Reed. Created during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, each video tempers with the absence of a live audience. Centering imagination as a tool to craft memory and history, Reed renders onscreen his attempts to seek pleasure in the midst of disaster. A post-screening talkback will feature Reed and filmmaker, performance artist, and writer Jack Waters in an intergenerational exchange drawing from their shared practices in embodied and time-based media.

Studio Screen: Elliot Reed's New Videos (2020–21) is presented on the occasion of This Longing Vessel: Studio Museum Artists in Residence 2019–20, held at MoMA PS1 while the Studio Museum constructs a new building on the site of its longtime home on West 125th Street.
