Alexio was a gay erotic artist originally from Brazil, but lived and worked in LA for 12 years. He held a bachelors degree in architecture, but worked in the garment industry doing computer graphics for textiles and silkscreen.
He referred to his work as "digital collage" which similar to traditional collage he cropped, cut and pasted images on his computer. Instead of an X-Acto knife and glue stick, he used filters, layers and transparencies. He feverishly scanned every image he found and liked, and then naturally put the images together.
