Exhibitions
Capturing critical and audience acclaim, our art exhibitions examine the deep cultural history of the AIDS crisis and contemporary issues around HIV/AIDS today. Exhibitions are organized by guest curators and feature a range of emerging, international and HIV+ artists.
Previous curators include Sasha Archibald, Andrew Blakley, Sally Block, John Chaich, Emily Colucci, Rachel Cook, Kyle Croft, Dean Daderko, Nick Debs, Tania Duvergne, Barbara Hunt McLanahan, Steven Lam, Nathan Lee, Joshua Lubin-Levy, Asher Mones, Richardo Montez, Kris Nuzzi, Ernesto Pujol, Risa Puleo, Virginia Solomon, Sur Rodney Sur, Conrad Ventur, Jeffrey Walkowiak, Patrick Webb, Osman Can Yerebakan, and others.
Visual AIDS does not have a dedicated exhibition space, however we have a long history of collaborating with various galleries and art institutions, including The 8th Floor, La MaMa Galleria, Printed Matter, Artists Space, The Painting Center, Real Art Ways, Boston Center for the Arts, Fales Library and Special Collections, Aljira, PS122, Transformer Gallery, MoCADA and others.
